Rev. Larry Emery began as a part-time Pastor at Walnut Grove
Community Presbyterian Church in 1992 and became full-time 2 years
later. He is a native of North Hollywood with a degree in history
from California State University, Northridge, and received his
Master's Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena.
His ordination took place at Hollywood Presbyterian Church on
March 1, 1981. Larry was a youth pastor his first 9 years of ministry,
serving churches in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Sacramento, California.
Before coming to Walnut Grove Community Presbyterian Church, Larry
spent 2 years as the Interim Associate Pastor at Carmichael Presbyterian
Church. Currently Larry serves on the Philippine Partnership Committee
of Sacramento Presbytery and has visited the Philippines on their
behalf. Among Larry's other interests are baseball, reading, jazz
and travel. He has three children: Laura, Jared and Justin. You
